How to Prepare Before Getting a Tattoo 

 

 
Get Enough Sleep
Make sure you sleep at least 78 hours before your appointment to help your body handle the pain.
 
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water. Well-hydrated skin takes ink better and heals faster.
 
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
At least 24 hours before your session to reduce excessive bleeding and irritation.
 
Eat Before Your Session
Never come on an empty stomach. Eating helps maintain your energy and pain tolerance.
 
Wear Comfortable Clothing
Choose clothes that allow easy access to the tattoo area, like tank tops or shorts.
 
Inform About Health Conditions
Let your artist know if you have any medical conditions or allergies.
 
Be Prepared for Time
Some tattoos can take hours. Bring a I-pad,  Headphones, pillows, blankets, snacks book, music, or anything that helps you relax.
